The Museum of Visual Materials... it's unlike anything you'd expect!

January 28, Thursday - "It's In The Bag" - an event to help benefit the compass Center will have a silent auction from 5:30 - 7:30. 30 different purses will be on display, and among those contributing bags are Sylvia Henkin, Kimberley Thune, Barb Johnson and Stephanie Herseth-Sandlin along with many other local designers and shops. January 29, Friday - We will be open for guests to view the museum as a banquet facility. We will have a staff member here to answer any questions for people interested in renting our facility. Please call ahead for any questions. 605-271-9500.

January 30, Saturday - We will be closed for a private event.

January 31, Sunday - Please come visit us at the Black Tie Bridal Show at the Sioux Falls Convention Center. Visit with our Banquet Director and plan your wedding at the most unique facility in Sioux Falls. The show runs from 12-4.

February 3, Wednesday - "Film Wednesday" - We will be showing the film "Egypt" on large projection. The film will begin at 10:30 AM 75 minutes long. You are welcome to bring in beverages and snacks to the showing. Feel free to bring groups of people or just a single individual. Large groups please rsvp ahead of time by calling 605-271-9500.

February 6, Saturday - Selective Singles Wine Tasting Event - Sample wines, food and great live music while mixing and meeting with other single in our area. This is an event to help benefit the River of Hope Foundation which is a local organization. Visit their website at riverofhopefoundation.org to understand their mission and goals and how you can help. Great prizes will be sold by silent auction. $30 for tickets in advanced and $40 at the door. Call 605-595-5800 for tickets and information. February 10, Wednesday - Beading crafts day - Create some really neat art projects for Christmas complimentary of the museum. We will provide you the tools and items to make some fun art projects or beautiful jewelry so you can give them as gifts. Stop in between 10:00 am to 3:00 pm to work on your creative idea.

February 13, Saturday - We will be open from 8:00 to Noon for guests to view the museum as a banquet facility. We will have a staff member here to answer any questions for people interested in renting our facility. Please call ahead for any questions. 605-271-9500.

February 20, Wednesday - "Film Wednesday" - We will be showing the film "Outer Space" on large projection. The film will begin at 10:30 AM and will be approximately 85 minutes long. You are welcome to bring in beverages and snacks to the showing. Feel free to bring groups of people or just a single individual. Large groups please rsvp ahead of time by calling 605-271-9500. We will also be providing VIP Tours on Wednesday.

February 22, Monday - "Mom's Club" - Moms can mingle and meet other great moms in our area. 11:00 to 1:00 so bring a lunch with you and enjoy the museum and all it has to offer. Call for more details at 605-271-9500.

February 24, Wednesday - "South Dakota Homeschoolers Group" - The group will be meeting from Noon to 1:00. Call for more details at 605-271-9500.
