The Museum of Visual Materials is the newest place downtown to hold your wedding reception or banquet event. This 1887 warehouse in uptown Sioux Falls has some of the most amazing character and architecture features that provides an environment unlike any other. Speaking of "Environment", The Museum of Visual Materials is a LEED certified GREEN building that is not only efficient, but is also one of the friendliest building in the region for our environment. We can host your party of 5 people up to large parties of 234 people.
You have the option to rent 3 sections of our building depending on the amount of people you have for your party.
To rent the entire museum for your event you will receive our main hall(Hall of the Americas), the atrium, and the Hall of Continents. All guests are seated comfortably in one large open room. You also receive your first 10 round tables, 5 rectangular tables, 100 chairs and the removal of our banners and bookshelves. Anything beyond those needs such as extra chairs or tables are rented per item so you can customize for the amount of people you are hosting.
The Hall of Continents is our second most popular hall which can seat up to about 64 guests. This section works great for baby showers, rehearsal dinners, and other small parties.
The atrium with kitchen is set up for smaller groups of about 50 people max. The atrium is great for parties that would like to utilize the the beautiful stainless steel kitchen for their event but do not need the entire hall.
Another nice feature of our facility is you are free to bring in your own catering and decorating is endless, but with the style of the building, you won't need much decorations. The Museum of Visual Materials will take care of your bar services and accommodating you in any possible way.
